Birt named a fellow of nutrition society

Diane Birt, Distinguished Professor Emeritus in food science and human nutrition, was recently named a fellow by the American Society for Nutrition, widely considered the premier research organization for human nutrition. Throughout her career, Birt investigated plant components that help prevent cancer.

Baker named Honorary Master Pork Producer

Dr. Rodney "Butch" Baker, senior clinician in the veterinary diagnostic and production animal medicine department, was named an Honorary Master Pork Producer by the Iowa Pork Producers Association. The award recognizes outstanding and distinguished service to Iowa's pork industry.
