A university president's spouse typically has a role in ceremonies and fundraising, and Robert Waggoner, husband of President Wendy Wintersteen, will be no exception.

Kurtenbach steps down as CIO

Jim Kurtenbach, a tenured associate professor of accounting, plans to return to the College of Business. Kristen Constant, Morrill Professor and chair of the materials science and engineering department will serve as interim vice president and chief information officer, effective Dec. 1.

The Knoll is being readied for the next first family

President Wendy Wintersteen and her husband expect to move into the Knoll, the campus home for Iowa State's first family, sometime in December. The timing of the move will be coordinated with maintenance and updating projects in the private residence areas.
