Final replicated pieces to be added to fountain sculpture

08 Jul 2025

They were made at Darwen Terracotta, England, under the guidance of art conservator Francis Miller, who's based in Hamden, Connecticut. Replicating the terra cotta pieces proved more complex than the sculpture's limestone pieces, which is why they weren't installed last August with the rest of the sculpture. Miller will return to campus July 23 to begin the installation work which, depending on weather, could take up to two weeks.
