The retiring president received a memory book from her time at Iowa State and a vase in the shape of a flame from past senate president Rob Wallace, an accomplished woodworker, as presents from the senate.
The faculty survey has been administered about every four years since 2005-06 and is a satisfaction survey designed to provide more information about their experience at the institution. The next survey will be sent to faculty from February through April.
Faculty Senate president Meghan Gillette also updated senators on the work of the Iowa State Presidential Search Committee and changes to the Faculty Handbook were discussed.
