Olson's course earns Quality Matters designation

Associate professor Eric Olson's AESHM 365 Event, Hospitality and Apparel/Retail course was certified in August in the national Quality Matters program that recognizes excellence in online course design. External reviewers measure a course against eight standards in the certification process. Olson's course is the second course in the College of Human Science to be certified and the sixth course overall. (2020 QM certified courses in higher education.)

Rothschild is distinguished alumnus at Wisconsin

Max Rothschild, Distinguished Professor emeritus in animal science, is a 2020 recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award from the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Rothschild earned a master's degree at Wisconsin; he retired from the ISU faculty in June.

Brown elected to accreditation commission

Eric Brown, associate professor and director of the hospitality management program, has been elected to the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA). As a commission member, Brown will help develop and enhance the international standards on which four-year and two-year hospitality education programs at colleges and universities are evaluated. He will continue his ongoing work as a site team member, assessing programs that seek ACPHA accreditation.
