Engelken named mentor of the year
Dr. Terry Engelken, professor of veterinary diagnostic and production animal medicine, received the 2023 Mentor of the Year Award from the American Association of Bovine Practitioners at its annual meeting in Milwaukee in September. The award recognizes members who have dedicated time and expertise to foster the growth, development and success of pre-veterinary or veterinary students.
Schultz receives national distinguished service award
Madeline Schultz received the Distinguished Service Award from the National Association of County Agricultural Agents. She was recognized for her work as the Women in Agriculture program manager with ISU Extension and Outreach's farm management team. With her team, Schultz developed 10 curricula and more than 200 Annie's Project and other multi-session farm management courses for women. She also began extension's annual Women in Ag leadership conference.
