Opening events for faculty and staff

The beginning of an academic year features back-to-school events for faculty and staff. Inside staff compiled a list of college and university events:

• Aug. 19, Ivy College of Business, 5:30 p.m., faculty and staff picnic, Moore Memorial Park, 3050 Northridge Pkwy.
• Aug. 21, College of Health and Human Sciences, 8 a.m.-noon, faculty and staff welcome reception, Reiman Ballroom, ISU Alumni Center
• Aug. 25, College of Design, 5:30-7:30 p.m., faculty and staff welcome reception, Sun Room, Memorial Union
• Aug. 27, College of Veterinary Medicine, 2 p.m., college convocation and awards ceremony, 2532 Patterson (Ramsey classroom)
• Aug. 29, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., ice cream social for faculty and staff, Harl Commons patio, Curtiss Hall
• Sept. 4, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, fall convocation and awards ceremony, 3-5 p.m., Durham Great Hall, Memorial Union
• Sept. 11, College of Engineering, faculty and staff awards and honors ceremony, 11 a.m., Howe Hall Auditorium
• Sept. 24, University Awards ceremony, honors the 2025 recipients of university awards for faculty and staff, 3:30 p.m., reception follows at 5 p.m., Durham Great Hall, Memorial Union
