Provost search committee will assess finalists Monday

The search for Iowa State's next executive vice president and provost edges toward a conclusion. By week's end, all three finalists will have completed campus interviews.

Two finalists -- Jonathan Wickert and David Manderscheid -- interviewed and presented at open forums earlier in the week. Carlo Montemagno is on campus now and will speak at a Friday morning forum (10:45 a.m., Memorial Union Gallery).

"The first two open forums this week have been very well attended," said Wendy Wintersteen, search committee chair and dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. "We’ve appreciated the campus community's involvement, from the nomination process to participating in the campus visits.

"We encourage everyone to turn out for our third candidate on Friday, and to submit comments for all candidates through the online evaluation site by noon on Monday, April 30."

Wintersteen said the search committee will meet late Monday to assess the finalist interviews and review submitted online comments. The committee will provide a summary to president Steven Leath, who will make the final decision.
