CyRide proposes changes to blue, peach routes

CyRide is seeking public input on service changes to two routes that serve campus (#3 Blue and #14 Peach) proposed to go into effect Saturday, May 9, with the start of summer service. The changes are intended to maintain consistent and reliable schedules as follows:

  • #3 Blue: Modify route to follow current detour (imposed for Gerdin Building construction) and not circle back to the Friley area as originally designed in CyRide 2.0. Due to increased pedestrian traffic during the school year, the route is not able to meet the schedule.
  • #14 Peach: Reduce service frequency from 30 minutes to 40 minutes. Due to increased traffic on Stange Road and Osborn Drive, the route is not able to meet the 30-minute schedule.

Changes will be outlined during a public meeting Tuesday, Feb. 25 (CyRide second floor conference room, 601 N. University Blvd.). Those unable to attend may provide comments to cyride@cyride.com or transit planner Shari Atwood, 292-1100, through Tuesday, March 3.
