Meeting today at the ISU Alumni Center, the Iowa Board of Regents approved promotion and tenure requests for 46 Iowa State faculty. The list was posted this morning on the provost's website.
Also announced today is advancement for 32 term faculty. The university president gives final approval to advancement proposals for Iowa State's term faculty.
All seven of Iowa State's colleges are represented on both of the faculty promotion lists. The new titles officially take effect for the 2026-27 academic year.

Slight shift in faculty composition
According to the annual faculty report to the board, Iowa State's faculty roster didn't change in size from a year ago. A decrease of nine tenured faculty was countered with small increases in tenure-track and term faculty, respectively. About 64% of this year's faculty is either tenured or in the tenure track.
