Piece by piece

Andrew Miller, a tree trimmer in campus services, works on reducing the trunk of a maple tree on the southeast lawn of The Knoll on Tuesday. The tree was a fall danger with no chance of recovery. Since it stood near Union Drive and a public sidewalk, the crew removed it to eliminate a hazard. The team removed a hackberry tree, also near a sidewalk and with structural issues, from the north lawn of The Knoll.
