Reappointment review of Health and Human Sciences dean is underway

The office of the senior vice president and provost is conducting a five-year review of College of Health and Human Sciences dean Laura Jolly. This review is a critical part of the academic reappointment process and includes a self-assessment; a survey to solicit feedback from the college, its departments and the campus community; and a report prepared by an administrative review committee. The survey will be launched in the coming weeks.

The review committee is chaired by associate professor Doug Smith*, School of Education, who is joined by faculty members:

  • Sarah Bennett-George*, apparel, events and hospitality management
  • Mridul Datta, food science and human nutrition
  • Jonathan Fox*, human development and family studies
  • Ann Gansemer-Topf, School of Education
  • Jeongeun Lee, human development and family studies and ISU Extension and Outreach
  • Mike Retallick, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences administration
  • Ann Smiley*, kinesiology

*Faculty Senator from the college

Jolly was appointed dean of the college in July 2016 and reappointed in June 2020.
