Author: Rob Schweers

Kevin Saunders has been named executive director of Institutional Research (IR). He will arrive on campus Nov. 18.  The IR team collects, analyzes, interprets and disseminates accurate and timely information on all aspects of the university's activities to support institutional planning, decision making and reporting.

An alumnus, Saunders has served for more than 15 years as director of institutional research and assessment and co-coordinator of accreditation at Drake University, Des Moines. Prior to that, he worked at Iowa State as coordinator of continuous academic program improvement in the office of the provost.

Saunders earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Drake University and a Ph.D. in higher education from Iowa State.

In making the announcement, associate provost for faculty Dawn Bratsch-Prince also recognized Amanda DeGraff for her service since April as interim executive director of the office.
