Brady Talley began serving as director of the Military-Affiliated Student Center the first week in May. Previously, he worked in the Ivy College of Business for nearly four years, initially as director of multicultural student success and, since last year, as student success coordinator.

He joined the Iowa State staff in 2021 from Indian River State College, Fort Pierce, Florida, where he worked in its adult education program for 14 years, most recently as a career pathways coordinator. Previously, Talley taught high school social sciences in Port St. Lucie, Florida, and McDonough, Georgia (2002-06), and served as administrator for the alternative learning program at Vero Beach (Florida) High School (2001-02). He was a strength and conditioning coach in the Los Angeles Dodgers professional baseball organization, working in both California and Florida (1998-2000).

Talley's military service as a combat medic spans nearly a decade. In 1989, he enlisted in the United States Army and served during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm (1990-91). Following active duty, he served with the Texas Army National Guard (1991-95) and the U.S. Army Reserves (1995-97).

Talley earned a bachelor's degree in exercise and sports science at Texas State University, San Marcos, and a master's degree in college student affairs at Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
