Foote named acting president and CEO of the alumni association

On June 1 Shannon Foote, senior vice president of administration, marketing, communications and membership for the ISU Alumni Association, assumed the role of acting Lora and Russ Talbot Endowed President and CEO. Kurt Tjaden, who served in the role from March 1 to May 31, began his appointment to the Iowa Board of Regents on June 1.

Jeff Johnson, Lora and Russ Talbot Endowed President and CEO, continues to be on medical leave.

Foote will oversee duties related to the process of combining the ISU Alumni Association and ISU Foundation, including planning, implementing and overseeing all alumni association programs through the transition, as well as collaborating with the alumni association board of directors and leaders at the university and foundation. Foote, a 1990 ISU alumna in graphic design, has served the alumni association for nearly a decade.
