As if on cue, many campus trees adopted their fall colors this week to add to the spirit of Homecoming.

Benefits open enrollment begins Nov. 1, first since Workday's launch

Starting Nov. 1, faculty and staff will have their first chance since the Workday launch to make annual benefit changes. Employees should review all their choices because the new platform isn't the only difference this year. 

Second part of salary increase will show in next paycheck

The back half of a two-part salary increase approved this summer kicked in Oct. 1, so eligible faculty, professional and scientific staff, post docs and contract employees should see a larger paycheck Oct. 31. 

Plan ahead for caucus night classes

Iowa State doesn't cancel classes for the Iowa presidential caucus, but students who want to participate are encouraged to speak with their instructors to determine if they may be excused to attend.

Iowa State joins national alliance to develop a more diverse STEM faculty

The alliance also helps STEM faculty at member universities train in inclusive teaching practices.
