Transportation services receives Green Fleet award

ISU Transportation Services has received the Green Fleet Award, coordinated by 100 Best Fleets and sponsored by alternative energy groups. Of 50 vehicle fleets recognized in the public sector division, Transportation Services was ranked #18. The Green Fleet Award recognizes efforts and accomplishments in several categories, including fleet composition (conventional and alternative fuels), fuels and emissions, planning for the future fleet, utilization of the fleet, education of the fleet staff and education of users of the fleet.

Jack Trice documentary regional Emmy finalist

"I Will - The Jack Trice Story," a documentary from B&G Productions and Cyclones.tv has been recognized by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. This project is one of just two finalists for a Midwest Emmy Award in the Sports Documentary category.

Johnson named chair of national student aid group

Roberta Johnson, director of financial aid, was recently selected to a one-year term as chair of the Advisory Committee on Student Financial Aid. 

Created by Congress in 1986 to provide advice and counsel on student aid policy, the Advisory Committee makes recommendations that will result in the maintenance of access for low- and middle-income students. Members are experts in higher education and student aid policy and are appointed by Congress and the Secretary of Education.
